Product Description


Tungsten alloy prefabricated fragments are pre-processed tungsten alloy fragments, bonded with a specific adhesive on the inner lining of the charge or the inner cavity of the warhead shell to maintain a certain shape, and fly after the explosive explosion to damage the target, mainly used in high energy explosives. The commonly used shapes of prefabricated fragments are spherical, cube, rod, short cylinder and arrow.

Description:

The specific gravity of WNiFe alloy is generally 17.0~18.5. It is an alloy based on tungsten (about 90~98%) and added with nickel, iron, copper or other elements. This alloy has good plasticity, machinability, thermal conductivity and electrical conductivity, as well as excellent absorption of gamma rays or X-rays. Due to this characteristics, it is often used to make military blasting rings.

 

Advantages:

1. Specific gravity: the specific gravity is 16.5-18.75g/cm³;

2. High strength: tensile strength is 700-1000Mpa;

3. Strong radiation absorption ability: 30-40% higher than lead;

4. Large thermal conductivity: The thermal conductivity of tungsten alloy is 5 times that of mold steel;

5. Small thermal expansion coefficient: only 1/2-1/3 of iron or steel.
