By adding Lanthanum oxide into molybdenum powders, the recrystallization temperature of the product significantly increased. Thus the products’ temperature resistance and service life under high temperature are much better than pure molybdenum. They are mainly applied in fields of lighting industry and high temperature furnaces.
TZM Molybdenum (Titanium-Zirconium-Molybdenum) is an alloy of 0.40~0.55% Titanium, 0.06~0.12% Zirconium and 0.01~0.04% Carbon with the balance Molybdenum.TZM (Titanium-Zirconium-Molybdenum) Molybdenum has a higher recrystallization temperature, higher strength, hardness and good ductility at room and elevated temperatures than unalloyed Molybdenum. In addition, TZM (Titanium-Zirconium-Molybdenum) alloy exhibits good thermal conductivity, low vapor pressure, good corrosion resistance and is machinable.
TZC alloy belongs to the Mo-Ti-Zr-C serials, with nominal compositions of Mo,1.2% Titanium, 0.3% Zirconium and 0.1% Carbon. This alloy comes from TZM, but differs greatly in the compositions. And it has higher temperature resistance and recrystallization temperature.
TZM and TZC alloys are widely used in the aerospace, aviation and other industries. It could be used as nozzle material, valve body, gas piping materials, tubes in the gate material, die casting molds, extrusion dies and high temperature furnace heating element and heat shield etc.
